Heading Southwest
Due to the affect of the weather on our health, we are leaving today for the Southwest. We may only make it as far as South Dakota today since we are not leaving until mid afternoon, but by the end of the week we will be in Las Cruces. We are spending a couple of days with our good friends Steve and Kathy and taking care of some medical stuff for Sara. After that, we’ll continue on to Arivaca. Unless I totally space out, I should have some more posts and pictures along the way.

Writing with No Pressure
It is interesting to me that I am much more inclined to write when there is no pressure and there are no expectations to do so. When I set up CreativeTribe.TV, I created all sorts of expectations for myself on what I would do. I planned on sending pictures and videos and audio and Twitter updates and blog posts on a regular basis. Sheesh! If I was getting paid to do so ahead of time and I could look at it as a job, then maybe it would have worked better. Still, it was too much and I quickly said NO! Now that I’ve gone back to writing on Peaceful Birder, I feel like writing and sharing more often.
I had a fun visit with my friend Dedrick yesterday. He had not come out to see the new digs, yet, and I laughingly told him that he comes to see me just as often whether I live in Minnesota or the Southwest. We just kicked back and caught up and then drove into town for a quick run into Home Depot and then out for pizza. Thanks for the good times, DD!
At Home Depot I picked up a clip-on lamp to use at night when I’m reading. The built-in lamp above my bed is in the wrong position to light up my book when I’m reading at night. With the new lamp, I can put it further back and it worked perfectly. I wanted to get the one with LED lights, but it was $30 compared to the $11 I paid for the standard model. I did get one of those fluorescent bulbs that uses less power, but still fits into a standard slot. It only uses 9W which amounts to 0.75A (0.9A when adjusting for 20% inverter inefficiency). Not too shabby.
Sara just got up, so now it’s time for coffee and conversation, talk to you later!

Back in Business
My plan was to use the website CreativeTribe.TV to keep a running log of our adventures in our new motor home lifestyle. I planned to send photos, Twitter tweets, short videos, and audio throughout the day. That turned out to be waaaay to much work! Our days would often be rather boring and then when there was something of interest, I would completely forget!
For now I’ll go back to writing my occasional posts here at peacefulbirder.com and rethink how I want to use the CreativeTribe.TV and CreativeTribe.org websites.
And tomorrow I’ll try to give you an update of our new mobile and tiny lifestyle!
